WHAT DOES TRENCAVEL STAND FOR?

The naming of Trencavel Cie. is closely linked to the fascinating story of the 13th century Trencavel family, who lived in a time of great change and challenge.

The Trencavels were a noble family in the south of France and bravely faced the political and religious turmoil of their era. Raimon Roger Trencavel, the Vicomte de Béziers, Carcassonne and Albi, is particularly well known. At a time when religious intolerance and social injustice were rife, Raimon Roger Trencavel led his counties with exceptional wisdom, cultural stimulus and an exemplary commitment to social justice.

His leadership philosophy was characterised by tolerance, protection of the people and a remarkable openness to cultural diversity.
Even though the era of the Trencavels ultimately ended with a resounding defeat and the county was annexed by the Kingdom of France and thus disappeared from the map, the name Trencavel remains closely associated with an exceptional leadership culture to this day.

ABOUT ME

„Mountains are there to be climbed. And the same goes for challenges in professional life.“

I can’t put my philosophy in a simpler way. Goals still have to be realistic, but they also have to be ambitious. The clearly defined success I strive for is then sufficient motivation for me to give my best until I reach my goal – as an entrepreneur, consultant or in sport. For myself, my team or for my clients.

After 20 years at the leadership of an internationally operating communications consultancy, it was therefore time for me to start a new challenge:

Trencavel Cie.

Advising on entrepreneurial challenges at C-level is a complex undertaking in which personal experience plays a very important role in addition to communicative and business management competence. In my view, all of this combined makes a good consultant. Just as a good trainer can only bring his athletes to new heights on the basis of his own experience in the respective sport.

At 52 years of age, I now have the necessary experience to advise and strengthen exposed and challenged leaders from an equal ground. My approach is not based on theoretical models, but on individual circumstances. Every leader is unique, and so are the respective challenges, teams and competitive conditions.

By the way, planned as a consulting, trading and investment company, I want to go a few steps further with Trencavel Cie. in the medium term – to set the goals a little higher: In addition to classic consulting as the first logical business field, I will be involved in the medium term in building innovative business models and developing new brands, as well as taking stakes in young companies.
